The Vallentuna Kulturhus cultural centre is situated in the middle of Vallentuna Centrum and provides an exciting meeting place for both young and old.
The centre was opened in the autumn of 2012 and the light, spacious rooms, totalling some 2,000 m2, house a large modern library, exhibition rooms, a creative workshop, café and a number of theatres.
Many of the activities here are carried out with the young in mind and children are naturally involved in most of the them. The children’s section in the library has its own cinema and theatre. It also holds fairy tale dancing and crafts classes.
The library is the main hub of Vallentuna Kulturhus. In addition to the traditional lending of books, making reading suggestions and spreading knowledge, the library is a dynamic meeting place for visitors of all ages. Here you can download and borrow music and films, and there is also a group activity room with computers and a number of private study cubicles.
Kulturrummet is the largest auditorium in the building with a seating capacity of 160. There is a wide programme of plays, films, writer’s visits, music and dance with guest performances, locally produced performances and collaborations between different cultural societies and associations.
